Mango and Zara are two of my favorite high street stores. I say high street when in fact I do all my shopping with them online. Unfortunately we have no Mango in Atlanta and our Zara store is pretty small. I thought both of their AW14 collections were pretty lack luster – not much excited me. SS15 is a different story – I love so much of it!
Mango’s tops have always been great for me – I find their sizing is slightly more generous and consistent than Zara’s. They have always done great boho tops and I have a couple that I bought in Spain last year that I have just dug out – its been in the high 70s here so I can certainly start transitioning my closet for spring!
I love this blue printed top – perfect with flares or denim shorts.
This chiffon blouse is beautiful – I mentioned the other day that I love a good tunic – I feel much more comfortable without buttons peeking open.
I have this black top but have yet to wear it. It is just beautiful and great quality. It comes with cami underneath to preserve your modesty.
These crochet tops are not available in my size yet on the US site but they are on my wish list. I just love them – so feminine.
I’ve just ordered these to try the blue and the red. They remind me of Madewell tops that are twice the price. They are so pretty and feminine and I hope to wear them with jeans and my Ancient Greek sandals.
This dress also caught my eye – I don’t have a denim dress and I love the shape of this one. The pockets are a fabulous detail.
For those of us that love fringing you can’t miss out on this top. Terrible photo as it doesn’t show the fringe – but both sleeves have fringing. I love it as the front is plain so doesn’t draw attention to a larger chest.
As for Zara it has been their dresses that have caught my attention. Here’s a curve ball – definitely risking mutton BUT I think worn on vacation, by the beach, with sandals it could be an instant hit. The fact it is a ‘romper‘ means it’s short length is less of an issue.
I adore this dress with a stunning embroidered neckline. Really unique and it reminds me of the Kate Moss TopShop dresses that sold out in a heartbeat last year.
This red dress is a great alternative to all the creams around – it is really lovely in real life too.
Finally this dress is amazing value and I love the dropped waist. I’ll be ordering it soon.
With every item I look at I have a specific pair of sandals in mind that I want to wear. They are completely polarizing and I have even surprised myself. I think what I love about these gladiators is that they have thick straps – more ‘solid’ looking than most currently in stores with skinny straps. Now I know I am no Gisele but let me introduce you to my lust shoe for summer 2015 – the Stuart Weitzman Backview.
Today I headed back to our new TopShop. It is so exciting to finally have a bricks and mortar store here – I must be getting old though as my only complaint is the ridiculously loud music in there! I had a $10 gift card burning a hole in my pocket so today I put it towards the Hayden boyfriend jeans in ecru. I love them.
For my little shopping jaunt I wore my new jacket and jeans from J.Crew.
Sneakers – Stan Smiths // Jeans – J.Crew wide leg crops // T-shirt – ASOS // Jacket – J.Crew Regent blazer in linen // Sunglasses (on head!) – Oliver Peoples TheOutnet.com
On Friday night I was out for dinner with my Husband – we had so much fun, thankfully with few repercussions on Saturday morning!
Boots – Stuart Weitzman Highland // Dress – AllSaints
So do share – what has caught your eye now the new season is arriving fast and furiously?
What an edit Joanna, I completely adore it all. I love the blue and red Mango tops..now in my Mango basket and have tried on that Zara dress (found it came up a little small on the waist so will need to size up) but it is definitely one I need for my hols. And those glads…gor-ge-ous!!! xxxx
Oh golly I love it all Joanna. I’m building up my boho wardrobe which I have yet to share. I’d clocked a few of the tops and the last dress which I A.D.O.R.E. Serious damage could be done to my credit card!!!!!
Wow, you have picked some fabulous pieces here! I fall in and out of love with Zara, (which I find I get on far better with than Mango – I often can’t get their sizing to work for me, maybe because I’m so tall), and this season I am head over heels! I currently have my eye on a floor-length embroidered-yoke dress, and some of their embroidered tops are just gorgeous…I can totally see you in the Stuart Weizmans they’d look ridiculous on me, but you would rock them! xx
That dress and those boots on you are just amazing
I do like my otk boots! I won’t be able to wear them much longer here so making the most of them!
Everyone has a huge wish list and I haven’t started mine. I love, love love those boots on you. Perfect. xx
That’s no bad thing Helen – there is so much more stuff to come that it’s easy to spend up too soon – but then I always fear missing out too! xx
I am hoping that Mango have one of their 30% off weekends coming up and I am hankering after several of the tops here and thankfully I am off into Bristol this week so I can make that last Zara dress mine….love it!! Those sandals are utterly divine! xx
I need to try the sandals on – in my mind they work but risking mutton or chubby legs lol! xx
I love the last two dresses. I saw the black one a few weeks back but on a cold wet dreary day, I really didn’t fancy stripping off the layers to try it on. I wish I had now – gah! They’ve sold out online in the UK! Might have to be the red one then!
Gosh they sell out fast there don’t they? I think the red one is stunning – it will be amazing with your coloring! xx
Some fab picks Joanna, I may have just made a sneaky Zara purchase today whilst in London :-0
Jane xx
Oooh do share!! You’re worse than I am for being led astray! x
I love the boho style dresses Joanna! Just gorgeous! I’m terrible at online shopping & neglect Zara & Mango the most! I need to take a closer look! x
