Get an extra 20% off sale prices!

It’s that time of year where I resist, resist, resist….ah shucks big fat fail. Those sales emails sure know their clickbait…

One of my favorite online stores is now reducing sale items by a further 20% on check out – so here are my favorite items…

First what I failed with – and I’m sorry there are very few sizes left! The Rick Owens peep toe boot – already reduced by 60% then with an extra 20% too good to refuse, especially in this fabulous grey goat leather – very urban and distinctive compared to the usual black leather.

I am still a HUGE fan of Isabel Marant’s Bobby sneaker. I already have 2 pairs – cream and burgundy both bought reduced off TheOutnet.com. There is something about the cut around the ankle that is so elegant – it sits beneath the ankle bone so it they are really flattering and feminine. These in red are stunning – imagine this color with tanned legs and denim shorts – lush!

Her Leo ballet flat is a classic and again already reduced with an extra 20% at check out – various sizes left.

khaki –

and black

Then there are her boots – I totally love these as they are so reminiscent of the 80s pixie boot – perfect with slouchy boyfriend jeans or skinnies.

In black it appears to be called the Raelyn

I’ve ordered them in this camel as I love the color of my Dickers.

Covering all bases they are also available in khaki

If you crave a little embellishment and eccentricity in your footwear i.e. the antithesis of Isabel Marant its worth checking out the Miu Miu sale collection, though sizes are sparse…

Finally I always lust after Stella McCartney shoes – I just nabbed a pair of Elyse platforms in the Neiman Marcus sale but there are lots of sizes left here too. You’ve seen me in these before.

So some footwear heaven for you! I’ll be mostly in flip flops for the next month as we leave for Turkey next week – packing is not going well…I’m crap at creating a capsule wardrobe! This week has been spent walking and lunching with my son – he’s pretty good company!

My picks of the J.Crew sale

I love J.Crew but never pay full price…right now you can their sale is on and there are some gems if you are quick.

I’ve just ordered these knitted tops – knit may not seem the coolest in the summer but it actually is breathable and hangs beautifully without clinging. Get an extra 40% off all sale prices with HELLOSALE at checkout.

These are really cute -wear them with denim shorts or jeans.

These signet bags are the perfect size and already reduced – with the 40% off that makes them a steal for real leather classics. The pewter and pink are on sale.

Finally this seersucker jumpsuit is gorgeous – great beach to bar attire.

I wore J.Crew the other night to watch Mamma Mia with Poppy – I felt suitably boho in it and got compliments from the ushers! The show was fabulous by the way, and yes I did dance my socks off!

Changes I’m making

Today I swam 30 x 25 meter lengths at the pool, and I reached my step goal with an evening walk around the neighborhood. I rarely go for a walk – it’s normally a run – but I was buzzing when I got home. There’s something so calming about a walk to good music, seeing neighbors, and local flora and fauna. If not for physical health, I plan to make it a daily event for my mental health. These Fitbit things are quite compelling – at least the novelty factor is working! I’m actually astounded that, even when surrounded by pastry products, toffee and lovely baked goods in the UK, I have managed to shed 5lbs while I was away.

Becky swears by her Fitbit so I ordered this one – the Fitbit Alta HR – for statistic nerds like me it is great – plus I didn’t realize that it was so social and you can motivate (compete) with others in various groups you join.

What I’ve bought back in the UK…

The exchange rate is good for traveling to the UK and with tax free shopping easier than ever I’ve enjoyed a bit of shopping this side of the pond.

From Mango I purchased this linen jacket that I’ve had my eye on for a while – very Miami Vice.

Then this set has been on my radar for a while too – I was worried the top would be too cropped but the adjustable ties make it perfect. The trousers have an elastic waist – just perfect!

Of course knickers and bras are a must from good old M&S. If you are in the US you can order via their website here and use Welcome20 for 20% off.

I have bought THE most comfortable bras and in such pretty colors – these packs of 2 are such brilliant value.

I also purchased a couple of multi way bras which are so supportive – I’m thrilled with them.

These ballet flats were hard to resist – I did try but I went back for them – the leopard and zebra are now in my bag. I think they are very J.Crew. By the way try code MY6F238 in the UK – it might give you 20% off.

I had a beautiful dress ordered from & Other Stories – unfortunately it just didn’t work on my boobs. I exchanged it for these trousers – so fluid and drapey – I have a Eur 38 so they are pretty generous and they have an elastic waist.

Finally I am thrilled with these final purchases – my Primark Manchester t-shirt – I can’t find it online but it’s lovely – I will wear it with pride.

These are very polarizing – and I LOVE them – I promised myself I would buy them here in the UK as they are cheaper in £ and Selfridges have a VAT lounge where I got my VAT refunded on the spot. I sized down half a size to 38.5. They remind me of my Patrick Cox Wannabe loafers from the early 90s.

So quite a good shopping haul – but more fun than that has been catching up with my lovely friends (pictured below @SusieSoSo @Iwontwearsludgebrown @Restyle-Becs @DizzyV) and family. Now back to the arms of my lovely husband and to start preparations for a month in Turkey!
