I’m exhausted. Aren’t breaks supposed to be for relaxing and recharging? It was certainly a fun long weekend though. My FIL arrived from the UK on Thursday so it’s fun to have a house guest and the kids love having Grandpa here – especially when he arrives bearing gifts and pickled onion Monster Munch for me!
On Friday we took him out for lunch and I wore my new Zara pleather trousers for the first time. The Everlane Street Shoes rock and really helped me feel casual and comfy and not overdressed for a relaxed lunch.

Yesterday we headed to our friends’ house to celebrate their boys birthdays – October is a busy month for birthdays around here! It was great to get the OTK boots out for the the first time this year!

Monster Munch – we currently have bacon ones in … which are supposed to be shaped like webs for Halloween. They don’t look anything like webs at all! And he had some Halloween wotsits today which he was terribly upset about as they were a bit zingy for him. It’s good to stick with the old regular flavours like “flaming hot” and the “beefy ones”. The pickled onion ones go right up my nose. I should stop withering now!
But legs milady – how long do your legs look in those Marant boots – good thing you kept them!
