A spring fling with AllSaints

I have loved AllSaints for years. They are edgy, urban and do the BEST leathers and knits. They are however very expensive for a high street brand. So when they have a 30% off deal, as they do now, I am always quick to take a gander. You can use the code SPRING at checkout but be quick as it applies to limited stock (leathers, coats and knitwear) and ends tomorrow.

My picks are mainly knitwear, which given the 80 degree temperature here today, are pretty useless to me!

I love their cutout pieces and this Able open shoulder sweater is beautiful with zip detailing. It also comes in cinder black and grey, but this pink marl is gorgeous. Size down – it’s generous.

One of my favorite pieces from AllSaints is the blanket cardigan – perfect for travel – I never fly without mine. This Lori blanket cardigan also comes in cinder black.

I love the texture and color contrast on the Terra Funnel sweater – and the cutouts in the elbow give it neat details.

AllSaints is always my first stop when I’m back in the UK in Manchester – their store there is great and as is the concession in Selfridges. I can’t wait!

As AllSaints has been on my mind recently I’ve worn a few items from my collection. I always love wearing them – so comfortable and super soft. Expensive, but worth it in my opinion – though I do try and wait for the sales.

These raffi leggings are a great example – you may sneer at $75 for a pair of leggings BUT I swear they are the softest, most comfortable ever, with no bagging at the knee and a cute attached skirt for a little modesty. It’s great for hiding a camel toe and allowing you to wear shorter tops than you would normally with leggings!

This skirt is the ULTIMATE bargain – I felt amazing in it on Friday and though it’s not AllSaints it could easily be mistaken for one of their cuts – especially in the black.

Big knits

I love nothing more (OK, maybe boots) than a big chunky knit. Again it’s probably genetics – growing up in the North West of the UK and then 5 years in St. Andrews meant they were a required staple in the closet. You could NEVER have enough big cardigans or chunky sweaters. They aren’t needed quite so much in the balmy climate of Atlanta, but that doesn’t stop me investing in a 3-4 new ones each November. Needless to say I have way more chunky knits than a girl in Atlanta really needs. Is it going to stop me? Of course not! That vacation to the North Pole may happen one year, not to mention that Arctic plunge that seems to happen earlier each year, even if it does only last a week or so!

This oversized cardigan from ASOS is a great shape and price.

I love this neutral color block cardigan – it’s even blocked on the inside too – really different yet easy to wear.

This is a perfect slouchy cardigan – equally easy to wear slobbing on the sofa or out in the pub.

Absolutely love the length of this New Look ribbed cardigan.

H&M is always a favorite of mine for great knits at a great price. They do oversize very well too.

This is the dress I am wearing below – I’ve worn it all day and it is SO comfortable and soft. I have a medium so it is pretty generous. Love this light grey color but the darker version is fabulous too for wearing with opaque tights.

I just love this sweater. The green is my kind of green – in fact I got a mohair cardigan in this color last year which I must dig out.

This deep green is one of my favorite winter colors. Not in your face but definitely some color that can be worn easily with black or grey denim. The sweater is also available in 3 other colors – it’s a great winter staple.

This long sweater can probably be worn as a dress by some of you but I really love the idea of it over distressed denim skinnies.

I love grey and I love a polo neck, so yes I kinda like this one a lot. It’s also available in blue and black.

I love the neckline on this sweater – a great price too at $34.99 and it is available in 4 colors.

& Other Stories is another great source of sweaters – H&M’s more grown up sibling. Slightly pricier but fabulous quality.

This red berry sweater is the one I am wearing below. It is also available in the grey shown. Use FRIENDS in the USA for a 10% discount on a new account. I have the medium – it is hugely oversized – the large drowned me. I can’t wait to wear mine with pleather skinnies.

I have this green cardigan too. I love the belt – it gives great shape – but it looks equally good unfastened. Perfect over a grey t-shirt with black skinny jeans.

This oversized, sparkle sweater is on my list. I love it – simple, but a little special.

Err this might me on my list too – I love the graduated sparkle.

I have this one – it’s shorter than others so I opted for a large. A great knit in a great pattern.

The shape of this wool blend cardigan is perfect – again great for both in the house and off out down the pub on a cold night!

My Husband is currently in London and has texted me numerous times complaining about the BITTER cold. I am SO jealous – I can’t wait to actually NEED to wear a big jumper – it’s still loitering in the low 60s here but I’m going for it nonetheless! And here just to prove I really can’t wait to get the big knits out, here are my outfits over the past 3 days!

How to wear joggers out of the house!

I know many of you swear that joggers, or sweatpants, are for indoor, slobbing in front of the tv, use only. Many are I agree. I have some lovely slouchy Reebok joggers that are so soft – but their shape is massively unflattering and only my immediate family will ever get to see me in them! However, I do believe that if you select the right shape – maybe slimmer in the leg, with a proper cuff at the ankle, then joggers can look great for casual wear. In fact you can even try heels with them – a step too far for me.

My favorite inspiration for wearing joggers comes from Sincerely, Jules. She wears them with absolute cool and aplomb.

I also love these looks.

I really love the idea of a pair of off white/cream joggers but they are hard to come by. I found these at TopShop, which look great.

I have an old pair of Zara camo joggers but these look amazing – I love the stripe down the leg. It’s always promising when an item gets great reviews!

Uniqlo are a great goto source for joggers. Always great quality and a great price. These are similar to the pair I am wearing below.

I absolutely LOVE them in the olive.

So here I am in an attempt to look effortlessly cool in my joggers 🙂
