Just about over the jetlag…

The laundry is done, we’ve caught up on sleep, I’ve worked out and had a good sweat, drank copious amounts of tea, and I can safely say I am starting to feel human again.  2 days of travel and gaining 6 hours completely knocked me sideways!  The kids always cope admirably and they were up with the sun on Monday morning ready for their last day of camp before school starts next week!

I really need to get better at packing – I took way too many clothes again – but I find it so challenging when you are traveling for 5 weeks, in two different climates, with little idea about what you might end up doing from one day to the next!

Anyway it is fabulous to be back home after a great break – sleeping in my own bed and showering in my own shower.  Everything works how it is supposed to, and I know where everything is once again!

As for what to wear with jetlag it has to be comfort that wins every time!

T-shirt – Zara // Culottes – ASOS // Sandals – Zara // Bag – Alexander Wang (similar here)

Trousers – Mango (old) // T-shirt – ASOS Forever t-shirt (on sale) // Belt – Target (old) // Shoes – Nine West Kurrious in the sale

These new Nine West sandals are SO comfortable – they are just over 3″ high so super easy to wear.  I have resolved to wear more heels and this is a start.

I feel good – but having a dry month – shopping and booze – oh wait it’s my birthday on the 10th – so maybe I’ll have a couple of days off:) Need to get back in the gym and work off the excesses – though the excesses were fun! xx

We’ve been off since May so believe me we are ready for school – the pools are still open till September so it’s quite a nice time of year to relax and enjoy the end of summer! Slathering on moisturizer to stop me looking like a prune!

You look fantastic, Joanna. So tanned and relaxed. We are setting off on our travels for three weeks on Monday and I can’t wait! Loved following your adventures on Instagram! There is nothing like your own bed and shower! Lynne x

Tanned yes not sure about relaxed yet – being back at work, unpacking, jetlag, and preparing for back to school is tough! xx

There’s no place like home is there? Glad you’re starting to feel yourself again and that you’re catching up. Can’t believe your kids are going back to school in a week or so … mine have only been on holiday for a week! Arghghg!

    I’m liking the culottes girl!

I got the culottes after Alex at The Frugality was raving about hers – these are jersey and really easy to wear. I was worried they’d make me look stumpy but too tired to care:) xx

You look like you’ve had a great holiday Joanna….you are positively glowing!! I love the culottes on you……you are tempting me to try a pair again after writing them off as a bit too dressy a couple of weeks ago but I love how you have styled them here!! xx

Try them – these are jersey and even have an elastic waistband so it’s just like a variation of the jersey harems. Really comfy and they were nice to wear for a change…I think they’d look great with a white shirt and heels too. xx

Welcome back, I’ve missed you’re posts, but glad that you’ve had an amazing holiday. You’re tan is amazing(I’m totally jealous as I go from milky white to lobster red with nothing in between).

Thanks Diane!! I’m happy to be home – I think now I have a base tan most of the year so turning brown happens in a couple of days on the Med! My dermatologist will kill me though – I did use SPF 50 all the time but still you don’t realize how strong the sun is!
