Slouchy straight jeans?

I love jeans. My favorite are skinny jeans – mainly because I think they are easier to wear with ankle boots, but also I feel a little less put together in boyfriend jeans, which admittedly may be the whole idea of them…

I may have found the perfect compromise though – the new slouchy straight jeans that seem to be appearing on shelves. It’s funny I had ordered a couple of pairs from Zara hoping they would work and then I saw the fabulous Tiffany Wendel wearing an Earnest Sewn pair, so I must be on the right track?

Here are the Zara pairs that I ordered – my preference seems to be grey and black right now!

The fit really depends on how slouchy you want them – they have lots of stretch in them and I have them in a US6. I absolutely love them. The blue denim pairs are selling out so hopefully they will restock.

So here I am in mine today – I feel so comfortable and cosy for this crappy weather (which secretly I enjoy!).

Yesterday I was at home with a snotty 7 year old so lived in sweats all day! Monday was a red jacket day – or Butlins day as my hilarious husband suggested.

Finally, on Saturday I went for a trip to H&M with Poppy – her favorite place to shop. I tried on this gold tone sequin top and loved it, left it behind, and then ordered it! The more I thought about it the more I liked the length of the sleeves – no wobble to show! I am in a large here.

Poppy came back with this jumpsuit – perfect for Thanksgiving day – ‘comfortable and glitzy’ as she says:) The navy is gorgeous – so different from the usual black – however the black one has already been requested for Christmas!

Silver brogues

I love shoes. Shoes will love you unconditionally. Fat or thin, your shoes will always fit (EXCEPT, if like me, for when more than 6mths pregnant your feet will only fit in flip flops).

My new shoe obsession has been acquired over recent months – I rejected them at first but have found myself coming back to them time and again. I’ve always had a bit of rockabilly in me, so it makes sense that I have worn beetle creepers on and off all my shoe buying life. These new obsessions are a slightly more refined flatform.

First up let’s take a look at the Stella McCartney wooden flatforms – just the $995

Pretty cool huh? Alternatively there is the Prada flatform brogue to lust over, cheaper at $950 ūüėČ

Or you can head to Zara.com and have them both for less than $250!

And here I am in my silver brogues today РI am totally smitten with them!

At the Pumpkin Patch with the rest of GA!

Another beautiful, if busy day in Georgia.¬† After an early rise and a quick Skype call to the UK we headed North to Burt’s Pumpkin Patch.¬† With the rest of Georgia apparently.¬† In hindsight yes it was madness to go on a Sunday two weeks before Halloween, but we did it.¬† MM suffered the hay ride under duress and the kids loved it.¬† Two pumpkins later and a 90 minute drive home we swore we would never head to Burt’s again.¬† I’d rather grow my own pumpkins thanks.¬† The pumpkins are now carved and will sit on my front doorstep rotting till the 31st…I’m now remembering all the reasons why Halloween is my least favorite Holiday.

For the trip I wore my H&M sweater dress – it’s the L.O.G.G. label and was just $25, with my favorite Zara bordeaux skinny jeans.¬† Zara’s pants seem to be perfect these days – they have so much stretch it’s like wearing leggings.¬† Along with every other girl in Dawsonville I had my cowboy boots on – these are Frye Carson pull-ons in fawn – some of the first Fryes that I owned.¬† All topped off with an H&M nude sparkly scarf, and Prada sunglasses – I didn’t get the memo to take my mirrored wrap around sport shades – the most unflattering shades ever by the way.
