Feeling groovy.

I hope you all had an amazing long weekend.  Mine was spent by the pool chilling and having lots of fun with friends.  It feels a bit odd being back in regular clothes today.

I’m convinced my hair is benefiting from taking Biotin combined with the sunshine – it feels pretty long today – well long for short hair if you know what I mean.  I am determined to grow it over the summer and see how close I can get to a bob by Fall.  In the meantime it requires plenty of wax for tucking it behind the ears.  As I dried it this morning I felt inspired by the 70s and tried to make my flick as Farrah-like as possible at the front.  Gosh she was beautiful wasn’t she?

Going with the 70s theme I went with my Lotta from Stockholm clogs.  I love these shoes – they are incredibly comfortable and at $85 they are far cheaper than Swedish Hasbeens.  You can buy them here on Amazon or via the Lotta site.  I applied a couple of treatments of olive oil to these nude ones to age them a bit and make the leather a tad darker.  They also have a great Facebook page with regular updates on new styles here.

The clogs are so great aren’t they? Am also loving that Boden top. I really like the way their button downs fit at the bust, but have been thrown off by some of the inner linings. Really love the dots on the one you’re wearing!
No getting dressed for me today… off to the pool! XX

These are so comfy – I feel so tall in them and not at all clompy like you might think. I really want some black ones now – I definitely prefer a plainer front with no braiding. Boden’s shirts are great – this is a US 8 and it is one of the few styles of shirts that doesn’t gape at the buttons – as you know I have a large busom and with most shirts I always feel like I’m constantly adjusting! Enjoy the pool – I’ll be there this afternoon agin!

I think they are based in London – she has a stall on Portobello Rd. They are great quality – I’m a UK 6 and the 39 fits great. Let me know if you get some!

Oh lovely – are you getting the same color too? I really fancy the red and black as well.

A pair of natural sky high swedish hasbeens arrived here this morning for me, and I am oiling them up as we speak (that sounds so wrong but I know you will know what I mean), although its raining here so I will have to make do with wearing them around the house at the moment , I love yours though (having just spent £150 on mine I really didn’t want to see any cheaper versions which were so lovely).
    Take care

Hi Diane!! What a coincidence – and ouch sorry – I’m sure the Hasbeens will bring you much joy though!! I thought it had been sunny there? Now rain? Damn – please make it go away before I arrive next month! xx

It was gorgeous on Sunday and most of yesterday but since mid afternoon yesterday it’s been constant rain, I’m hoping its getting it all out of the way before the schools break up for summer, otherwise I’m emigrating lol!

The Lottas are lovely and are a great compromise height for comfort and walkability. I’d get a pair in the tan if it wasn’t for the fact I have my Krimbles which I have worn to death but are still so good. I’ve “oiled” mine up as well with a natural polish and it really does make a difference to the leather. I know that because there is a little bit of the strap which I didn’t do which reminds me of what they looked like when I got them and they definitely look better now. I’ve also yet to venture out in my little red (H&M) Swedish Hasbeens – sometimes, I get stuck in a rut and wear the same things all the time.

And did you work some muscles carrying that Rocco? I’ve felt the weight of one!

You know given that I am mainly in the car, and not lugging bags around on public transport, it really doesn’t feel too bad. I’m also not one of those people that carry a lot of crap around – just my phone, wallet and make up case – which begs the question why I need a big bag at all!?

Like Diane, I also coincidentally just bought some natural Hasbeens and I am waiting for the UPS delivery as I write this. Mine are Baskemolla low — of which I already have an all black pair and LOVE — so I had to get the natural. I’m dying for a red pair of clogs too, but they never seem to have styles I like left in my size. Perhaps I can find a pair of red Lottas instead 🙂
