You have all seen images, I’m sure, of the beautiful Valentino Rockstud.
In my opinion it is a shoe that is a simply stunning combination of edginess, simplicity and refinement. But expensive.
Now you can get a version at high street prices thanks to Sam Edelman.
First I tried a version of the stiletto in Nordstrom – unfortunately the vamp is too low and narrow for me, and my pesky little toe wouldn’t oblige. Still they are gorgeous and I was very sad to have to leave them behind.
I have, however, ordered the sandal version.

This next sandal that caught my eye is actually incredibly reminiscent of this Isabel Marant sandal from last year:
The Sam Edelman Dion is available in black, nude, tan and off white. I love the thong strap and I’ll be trying this as soon as I see it in store:
So there we go – call it a copy or a tribute, I’ll be rocking the Sam Edelman version of the Rockstud this summer! I’m more than happy to wear a good imitation and Sam Edelman’s shoes have always served me well.

I have just got my Rockstuds! I have wanted them for 2 years and started a savings jar for them…they came last week and they are even more beautiful than I imagined. I have the black patent/nude kitten heel , so comfy too! Ridiculously expensive and my husband thinks I’ve lost my mind, but they make me smile every time I look at them! I can’t say they are worth £600, they are a pair of shoes for heaven’s sake, but I will treasure them and have so much fun wearing them with so many different things. Love your blog btw!
love the sam Edelman one, I think I prefer them to the valentine! The dion look like just the thing for summer. I need some new colours of the gigi, but might have to see if I can find the dion in the uk or if Nordstrom have them and will ship. I’m not in the states until August, so our summer will be long gone by then.
They are pretty good aren’t they. I have salivated over the Valentino Rockstud. I was convinced that fashionistas were placing them, with great regularity, on Pinterest just to piss me off!! I would love to try the Sam Edelman’s. 😉 H xx
