Funny feet.

Yep, not the Funny Face of Audrey Hepburn, we’re definitely talking funny feet.  Next time I get my pedicure done I will share them with you:)  My curly toes, as I’ve mentioned before, mean that my choice of footwear is somewhat limited.  If the shoe is too low at the front, or if the sandal is too strappy, my little toe on my right foot is prone to escaping.  Even the white Aldo shoes I loved have to be returned as they are cut too low at the front to retain the toe.  I may, however, have found the perfect Spring/Summer shoe.  It’s a sad fact that my feet look their best when the toes are hidden completely, but these beauties make my feet look slim and elegant – with not a hint of the toe turmoil hidden inside!

The Vince Nina:

They are so comfortable I am sorely tempted by the nude too.

I think that is why I tend to buy multiple colors of the same style – once I find one that fits, I am so ecstatic, I panic buy because the thought of hunting for another ‘glass slipper’ seems too daunting.  I only wish they came in white too.  I must credit Tiffany Wendel again – she was the first person I saw them on.  I swear I am not turning into Single White Female.

As the Nina doesn’t come in white I am tempted to try these that appeared on the Zara site the other day.  Pointed, but sling back – the only thing I am hesitant about is the block heel.

What do you think?  They will definitely keep the toes at bay – but are they too sixties?

Love that outfit! Those trousers are great and after some uhmming and ahhhing, I actually like the shoes. Not so sure about the nude colour but I do like the black. Quirky but really quite practical. Love that you have your ankles out – so envious! x

I think the Jenny Kayne D’Orsay ones were the original ones which came out last year and I loved them but the price – ouch. I looked in between but nothing has come along really till these Vince ones. The Vince ones are much more affordable and look really nice too. However whereas you have funny toes, I have fat feet and I can see bits squidging out so I’m not sure I can do these. See! We all have our own little feet foibles!

And is it denim jacket season over there already? I’m blooming frozen here!

Yes they were – Phillip Lim has some black and white ones which are lovely but these Vince pairs are amazing and great quality. I think the toes might get beaten up though:( I’m trying to tread lightly:)

Those are great flats. I’m like you, I prefer to hide the toes. I been turned off by pointy toed flats in recent years cuz my big size 10’s with pointy flats makes me feel like a penguin. These however are pointy but not excessively pointy. Love them.

Thanks Brian – I was worried they’d make my feet look big too but I think they really flatter my wide feet making them look narrower:) I’m obsessed!

While I was visiting (and ordering) from the Gentle Souls site the other day, I thought of you. They have such comfortable shoes, but the Etsu is very similar to the black and nude shoes, although it has a square not a pointed toe (and they do come in black and white). Their shoes are extremely comfortable. I have a couple pair of wedges and the Iso Mule in pewter — all very comfortable. They also have a shoe called Alter Eagle in Ice (which is a whiteshoe, I believe) that is kind of funky that made me think of your “white shoe” post, although they don’t hide the toes. They do tend to have a lot of white shoes, though. Thanks for showing your great style!
